Here at BI, we strive to bring you high quality support on your next genotyping project.
Is your team ready to use genotyping to streamline your breeding decisions?
Please complete our genotyping request form below. Reach out to us at bi-gentoyping@cornell.edu if you have any questions or concerns.
A few things to note before you get started with the survey:
- A project is defined as a single species (ie. alfalfa or oat) plate submission for one of the DArT marker panels for DNA extraction and/or genotyping services.
- It can be either tissue or DNA. If using more than one tissue type (ie. leaf and root) they must be kept on separate plates.
- We recommend genotyping one tissue type as it keeps the project less complicated.
- Mixing of species (ie. alfalfa vs oat), sample types (tissue vs DNA), or tissue types (ie. tail vs liver) is not allowed in the same plate.
- Submissions are full plates only as partial plates cannot be sent. Project plate numbers would ideally be a multiple of 4 plates, but most even numbers of plates greater than 4 will work.
Please feel free to reach out to us at bi-genotyping@cornell.edu if you have any questions or concerns as you are filling out this project request form. It is better to have more information than less and we are happy to brainstorm with you before filling it out if that helps add more details to your project request.
This form is only for USDA-ARS breeders that BI currently collaborates with.
