Using DeltaBreed

  • Are there materials I can use to learn how to use DeltaBreed?

Yes! We feature learning materials on our website: https://breedinginsight.org/learning-hub/deltabreed/learning-deltabreed/. These materials feature step-by-step directions, troubleshooting ideas, and best practice techniques to help you learn how to use DeltaBreed.

If you are an ARS group working with Breeding Insight, you can also contact us a breeding-insight@ufl.edu to schedule a training session.

  • Do I need to upload data in any specific order in DeltaBreed?

Yes, you must upload germplasm and ontology (trait terms) before you load an experiment. If an experiment upload is attempted before both germplasm and ontology are uploaded, DeltaBreed will throw an error.

Yes, DeltaBreed uses a variety of validations and specific error messaging to help users ensure that their upload has been properly vetted and curated.
